The Lenovo Yoga tablet 2 (10.1" with full windows, less than $400) has my eye. For a good long while I've been trying to find something instead of the surface pro 3 because of money. The SP3 is just too much money especially after the keyboard. This sucker comes with the keyboard/cover and 15 hours of battery life on that curve at the bottom you can hold like a book binding. I don't need a power processor. i'm not playing the newest Battlefield series with this. If anything, some basic emulators of old stuff for brief fun but mostly, it's for writing. I can even hang it on the wall by it's kickstand. the real key here is the use of it in compact spaces where even a small notebook might not work very well, and the tablet-able use is very good to have too.
So, is there anything better for the price? that comes with a decent and good keyboard? I hate the asus transformer keys and the acer switchtab my wife has and it's a bit buggy, but the keyboard isn't bluetooth and must be attached to use....something where this shines better for flexible areas. The Dell Venue 11 pro is nice but to get the keyboard/folio/stand boosts the price up close to $600.
Thoughts? thanks for the help. Here's a freight train.

Will it display Jeppesen charts?
If so, buy it.

SP2 used prices are at lest the same as this or quite a bit more. SP1 uses the ARM processor and runs RT windows-gaining the inability to load anything other than a windows certified product on it and they are already starting to run in to problems with video codecs, but the venue 11 has a replaceable battery and that might win in the end cuase after 3-4 years, itll be the cheapest thing to do than replace or send in for a new battery like teh SP series and others need.

Hmm. it's a thought. I do know the SP3 battery replacement will occour after about 4 years and at the present time costs $200 to have done......I wonder what the older versions will cost.

NO idea. i've head mine for about 2 year and use it to take note in university. battery still runs like a champ.
The RT software is such a pain in the ass though.

That i have looked at. The keyboard has to attach for it to work. It is a very nice piece of equipment but the processor is about to become two generations old in the spring and the keyboard hookup has lots of internet chatter on the connection being faulty with any adjustment or flex in the joint. I do like it tho. It's a consideration but the price of the tablet and the keyboard is costing more.

Yeah. i just checked the prices and the SP1 is even more 'spensive with the keyboard.

It doesn't have to. It has a tiny little dock that comes with the box so you can attach the tablet into the dock and use it as a wireless.
It's essentially a Surface 1 made by samsung.

gotcha. a good bluetooth keyboard is more money but not that much more. I see your point. Now, is it better? it's not saving money tho....is that combo pictured less than $400 together? come spring, the new atom ships and the ATIV processor there gets to be 2 genertaions old.
